In development! A machined aluminium case for the Pi Zero.
We plan to launch it as a Kickstarter campaign soon. Thinking of getting them anodised, what colours would you recommend?
Simon Blake has made this rather wonderful desk clock application and has used the PiggiPi Stand to show it off.
Simon has been refining the program for a while and hopes to eventually make the program available on GitHub. Using the touch screen you can cycle through a clock screen, a lunar calendar, yearly calendar and a page counting off the important days in the year. When setting it up you set your location, enabling the program to give you extremely accurate sunset and sunrise times.
You can now get your PiggiPi Aluminium Screen Stand with the Official Raspberry Pi Touch Screen and Power Supply (2.5 amps) as a kit.
Price £96 inclusive of vat.
Some customers have asked us to provide a kit with the screen, eliminating the need to go elsewhere and incurring more postage charges. We thought that was a brilliant idea and decided it would be even better if we were to include the power supply too. The power supply comes with adaptors for UK and EU power sockets and has enough grunt to power the Raspberry Pi 3.
If you already have the screen, no problem you can still purchase the stand on its own at the reasonable price of £30 inclusive of vat.
The great guys at Pimoroni have featured the PiggiPi Screen Stand in their YouTube show The Bilge Tank.
Bilge Tank is a weekly live show that can be caught on every Thursday. You will see demonstrations, the latest Raspberry Pi news and shown useful snippets on how all manner of Pi related things work.
Pimoroni have a fantastic range of their own products, many of which you would have definitely heard of, such as the Pibow, Picade, Explorer Hat and Unicorm Hat to mention just a few.
This week they have shown off our PiggiPi Touch Screen Stand. Take a look, our section starts from the 15 minutes mark.
The first aluminium Raspberry Pi Touch Screen Stand is now in stock and ready for despatch. We call it the PiggiPi.
A low introductory price of £30 (inclusive of vat) has been set for this stylish solution of holding and presenting the official 7″ touch screen and Raspberry Pi.
The kit consists of a turned aluminium stem and milled aluminium frame (both 6082 grade), the necessary screws and a hex key for assembly.
Please note that the screen and Raspberry Pi are not supplied as part of the kit.
Looks great. The finished Prototype!
